 On the nose, this Pomerol is harmonious with notes of ripe fruit
 (sour cherries) and spices (black pepper). On the palate, the finish is tender and long. This magnificent property of 40 hectares, 29 of which are planted with vines, has belonged to the Lafon family since 1955. The Etablissements Jean-Pierre Moueix have been breeding and distributing it for several decades. The name "Commanderie" comes from the order of knights established in Pomerol and Lalande-de-Pomerol on their return from the Crusades, which founded a number of hospitals and homes for pilgrims on their way to Saint-Jacques-de. -Compostela. The Château de la Commanderie vineyard, with an average age of 25 years, surrounds its charming building on warm, predominantly gravelly soils. The Cabernet Franc thus enjoys a terroir allowing it to express all its finesse and elegance. The technical team maintains low yields, and the vinification is traditional: fermentation and maceration in thermo-regulated concrete vats.
